Think of your Buyer Profile as your Linkedin for purchasing property. However, Sellers browsing for Buyers never see your actual name or profile image. All they see is your initials or your nickname (so choose it wisely), and your property preferences: location, size, price range and condition. We also strongly encourage Buyers to get pre-approved for lending or be prepared to prove your purchasing power. Sellers will see which buyers are considered verified. Verified buyers will get the greatest attention from Sellers.
No. We are a peer-to-peer marketplace focused on connecting real estate Sellers and Buyers, directly. Even if you are working with a real estate agent, you can use DOORRISE. Your agent can always present you listings using their own resources, however, if you find a listing on our private market, your agent may not be able to represent you. But don’t worry, even if your agent is not allowed to represent you, an agent from Our Team will provide all the support you need to confidently negotiate and purchase a property on our site.
We have agreements with top local agents, who are specially-trained in managing transactions on our unique marketplace. Since the Seller pays the cost for Agent commission(s) from the proceeds of the sale, Sellers determine whether they will pay for one Agent (also called a Dual Agent), or two agents (one for the Buyer and one for the seller). In either case, we Assign the agents, but, if you are not satisfied with your Assigned Agent, we will provide you a replacement agent at no cost.
It’s not required, but it is strongly encouraged. Financing is the most important part of successfully closing a purchase and we are building a trusted and efficient marketplace for motivated Sellers and for Buyers who can stand behind their offers and bids. Getting pre-approved costs you nothing, but having Pre-Approved status makes you look better to Sellers who may get offers from multiple Buyers.

We strongly encourage that Sellers obtain a report from a licensed home inspector before listing their properties. Whenever available, we make these reports available for Buyers to review before making offers. These reports provide Buyers key insights about the property condition on the front end and minimizes surprises and the need for re-negotiation after you open escrow. In most cases we provide buyers the opportunity to view listings personally, and if not, you always have the opportunity to fully inspect any property during the escrow period.

Once your bid or offer is accepted, the path to closing works just like in any traditional real estate transaction. The Buyer’s Agent or the “Dual Agent” will work with you to deposit your earnest money into escrow, facilitate distribution of all disclosures, arrange inspections, interact with your lender and assist you and the seller in meeting your various transaction deadlines. The Assigned Agent(s) will also work with our preferred service providers to make sure all your needs are met before closing.
